KCI Highlights Advanced Wound Care and Surgical Innovations at Fall 2019 U.S. Conferences
KCI Highlights Advanced Wound Care and Surgical Innovations at Fall 2019

SAN ANTONIO - This fall, KCI has been busy with a number of conferences in the United States, including Wild on Wounds (WOW), Plastic Surgery the Meeting (PSTM) and Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Fall, all designed to give clinicians the knowledge and tools they need to better support their patients on their healing journeys. As a well trusted brand in wound care and a leader in surgical management, KCI brought a large array of innovations to these industry events.

The U.S. team kicked off the conference season in Las Vegas at WOW in mid-September, where we showcased a number of products for patients and clinicians to expand their knowledge of advanced wound care solutions. With nearly 1,000 people in attendance, the three-day conference included many hands-on demonstrations and real-time applications of various KCI products. WOW 2019 allowed participants to peek inside KCI’s ever-growing wound care portfolio and witness the mechanisms of action behind the Company’s products.

PSTM 2019 in San Diego was next up on the fall conference schedule in late September and did not disappoint. With plastic surgeons in attendance from all over the country, attendees of the conference heard from breast surgery experts during the two KCI-sponsored symposia regarding incision and soft tissue management. PSTM attendees also heard from experts about their personal experiences with closed incision negative pressure therapy and the newest addition to the specialty surgical portfolio.

The 2019 SAWC Fall meeting mid-October in Las Vegas not only allowed us to connect with clinicians through hands-on demonstrations, in-booth digital health experiences, poster presentations and “Ask the Expert” sessions, but it was particularly exciting as it was the first opportunity to bring together employees from both 3M and KCI to celebrate that KCI is now part of 3M Medical Solutions Division within 3M’s Health Care Group. As one organization, we are United by purpose to redefine what’s possible in health care. Together, we will deploy our differentiated technologies into effective solutions that will help deliver improved health care outcomes with better economics for the patients we serve.

“Conferences are an important part of our activities at KCI,” said Christine Grogan, Vice President, Marketing, KCI. “They give us a chance to meet face-to-face with clinicians from a wide range of specialties and educate them on the newest additions to our advanced wound care offering. These meetings also afford us the opportunity to directly answer questions healthcare providers have about our products and start a dialogue with them about the needs of their patients.”

Educating clinicians about moving healing forward and giving them tools to further assist their patients throughout their healing journey is of the utmost importance to KCI. As 2019 wraps up and 2020 begins, we look forward to continuing to create meaningful connections with clinicians at all conferences and meetings worldwide.
