KCI Shares the Latest Wound Care Advancements with European Clinicians at European Wound Management Association Conference
Earlier this month, KCI attended the 29th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) as a key sponsor in Gothenburg, Sweden. This year’s meeting brought thousands of clinicians from across Europe and a number of leading-edge wound care companies together to focus on person-centered wound care.
On the exhibit floor, KCI introduced PREVENA™ 35cm and PREVENA DUO™ 13cm to European healthcare professionals, and also shared many of its innovative negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) systems and advanced wound care dressings. Through first-hand demonstrations and one-on-one talks, KCI sought to expand clinicians’ knowledge and tools for managing wounds, ultimately benefiting patients and healthcare systems alike.
KCI also led meaningful discussions on treatments and techniques in advanced wound care management, and shared Simon Lancaster’s first-hand experience as a SNAP™ Therapy patient. EWMA attendees also had the opportunity to join a KCI-sponsored symposium chaired by John Harper, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer, KCI, that explored emerging technologies, treatments and techniques to employ when caring for patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Alongside this, KCI held presentations on the outcomes of remote therapy monitoring systems for outpatient negative pressure wound therapy and the comparative effectiveness of collagen-containing dressings.
Committed to expanding clinician education and patient access, KCI was honored to move healing forward with clinicians at EWMA from across Europe.
