TIELLE LIQUALOCK™ Dressings Focus on Fluid with LIQUALOCK™ Technology. 

Exudate production by open wounds is essential for moist wound healing and plays a central role in the healing process:1 however, excess wound fluid cause negative impacts1,2,including:

  • Periwound damage caused by maceration
  • Leakage and soiling
  • Delayed healing
  • Patient distress

TIELLE LIQUALOCK™ Dressings are designed to manage different levels of exudate across a range of wound types and they come in a wide selection of shapes and sizes with or without an adhesive border: see image of exudate levels below. TIELLE LIQUALOCK™ Dressings help:

  • Establish and maintain a moist wound environment
  • Prevent periwound maceration by expanding and conforming to the contours of the wound bed; filling dead space to avoid pooling of exudate.

Skin-friendly dressing removal is one of the most highly desired characteristics of a dressing.5 When a dressing needs to stay securely in place and the decision is made to use an adhesive dressing, TIELLE LIQUALOCK™ Adhesive Dressings have been specifically designed with a polyurethane adhesive that provides secure flexible adhesion with skin friendly removal to help give patients the confidence to carry on with normal activities and helping improve patient quality of life.6-8 

Suitable Under Compression

 

The TlELLE LIQUALOCK™ Dressings are suitable for use under Compression.

For skin-friendly removal, use water or saline to break the polyurethane adhesive seal used on TlELLE LIQUALOCK™ Adhesive Dressings by lightly dabbing the underside of the adhesive border with a water or saline-soaked cotton swab.

Product description 
 
PROMOGRAN™ Plus Matrix is comprised of a sterile, freeze dried composite of 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), 55% collagen and 1% silver-ORC. Silver-ORC contains 25% w/w ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent. In the presence of exudate, the PROMOGRAN™ Plus Matrix transforms into a soft, conformable, biodegradable gel, and thus allows contact with all areas of the wound.

PROMOGRAN™ Plus Matrix, when covered with a semi-occlusive dressing, maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface. This environment is conducive to granulation tissue formation, epithelialization and optimal wound healing.

PROMOGRAN™ Plus Matrix provides an effective antibacterial barrier as demonstrated by the in-vitro reduction of bacterial growth with common wound pathogens such as, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Eschericia coli and Streptococcus pyogenes. Reduction of bacterial bioburden in the dressing may result in reduced risk of infection. Literature reports of in-vitro testing indicate that collagen fibers provide a biodegradable matrix for cellular invasion and capillary growth. In laboratory testing, Collagen-ORC has been shown to absorb components of wound exudate.
